Asbury Students Worship. Serve. Grow.

Helping our neighbors!

Security Aux Team

Asbury’s Security Aux assists the security team, which handles medical, fire, and weather-related emergencies. You’ll learn CPR and medical training alongside our security team and serve your church family.  We ask you serve one Sunday a month. Talk about great material to list on that college essay!

Giggles & Grace Consignment Sale

Giggles and Grace is a children’s consignment sale held every spring and fall. It’s a huge mission outreach for Asbury and the communities we serve. If you serve as a youth volunteer, you can earn money towards your Youth Service Fund to help fund your mission and retreat experiences. Mark your calendars for the Spring Sale, February 9 & 10.

Mums for Missions and Spring Flower sales are not only a feast for the senses with beautiful flowers, but also a heartwarming endeavor as all proceeds go towards our amazing students! When you make a purchase at either of these sales, a portion will go to help build student’s Youth Service Funds. These funds can be used to pay for any mission and retreat experiences our youth ministry offers. Get plugged in and sell some flowers!

Sponsor Daudi Sozo Children

Daudi is three-years-old and full of energy. He is happy, caring, and funny. Thanks to Asbury RESET’s sponsorship, Daudi lives in a family-style home with a Ugandan mom and dad at Sozo Children Uganda. He is cared for, receives regular meals, goes to school and gets help with homework, and has plenty of children to play with on the playground.

Asbury RESET is joining a growing, global community dedicated to giving vulnerable children a thriving, Christ-centered future. You can help by supporting Daudi financially, by praying for him, and encouraging him through letters and correspondence.

To make a donation, click the link below and select “Student Ministries.” Please indicate  “Sozo” in the “honor of” field. To correspond, just reach out to our Student Ministry Team for contact info.

Mission of the Month

Every month, Asbury offers family-focused initiatives designed to help families serve together. Visit the Serve-Others page to read about how you and your family can help with the current Mission of the Month.

Costa Rica Mission Trip

The 2024 mission trip to Costa Rica Mission Projects (CRMP) is Saturday, May 25 – Saturday, June 1, 2024. This trip is designed for high school and college students. We have 25 student tickets available for this year’s mission trip. The cost of the trip is $1,350 which includes airfare, housing, transportation, and most meals.

What is CRMP? Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 14, at 3:00 p.m. We’re hosting an “interest meeting” in Williams Chapel at Asbury. Wil Bailey from CRMP will be there, along with representatives from Birmingham Churches who support this mission. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover more about our mission partner’s work in Costa Rica.

Asbury will be serving with TEAMeffort in communities of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This mission trip is Sunday, June 9 – Saturday, June 15, 2024, and is for both middle and high school students. We have 30 student tickets (a.k.a. van seats) available for this year’s mission trip. The cost is $250 which includes all meals, transportation (vans), housing and, of course, a t-shirt. TEAMeffort’s mission statement is to provide youth group mission trips filled with opportunities to put their faith into action and return home with lifelong memories and a renewed excitement for Jesus Christ.

Asbury Serves

We serve with several ministry partners around the Birmingham community! In addition, we did a special Asbury Serves as a part of our 2023 Discovery Mission Time. This is a great intergenerational way to serve God and serve Birmingham.
