Give to Asbury

And give back to God.

At Asbury, generosity isn’t just a practice—it’s the heartbeat of who we are. Giving is more than support—it’s a catalyst for change. It empowers missions, transforms lives, and spreads Christ’s love throughout Birmingham and beyond.

The first 10% of every gift to Asbury’s General Budget is immediately dedicated to mission work—supporting life-changing efforts in our local and global communities. Our collective contributions have enabled us to give back more than $2.2 million to local and global missions since 2022, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to embodying the way of Jesus, together.

Your generosity fuels transformative initiatives, from local outreach programs to international mission trips, reflecting our dedication to serving others. This includes support for local non-profit groups like Grace Klein Community Food Ministry, King’s HomeProdigal Pottery, Urban Ministry, and so many more. These funds also support regional and international missions like Rise Against Hunger, UMCOR, Mission Bulgaria Shoeboxes, Costa Rica Mission Projects, UMVIM, and missionaries on three continents.

Be part of this extraordinary movement of generosity. When you give, you’re changing lives, building hope, and making God’s love known in powerful ways.

Legacy gifts are a purposeful way of supporting the future ministry and mission of our church. Your estate gift can support Asbury for decades to come. When the church receives assets as a beneficiary under a will or trust after the donor’s death, the gift is known as a “Legacy Gift.”

Legacy Gifts can be made from a variety of asset classes such as cash, securities, qualified retirement plan/IRA assets, the death benefit from life insurance, or real estate. All gifts are welcome. For more information, contact David Miller, Executive Director at david.miller@asburybham.org.

Your gifts go to support the missions and ministries at Asbury that take place each and every day. Things like the power, water, and gas bill are all paid from your tithes and offerings as well as missional work like the Asbury Food Pantry, community outreach, bible study supplies, and worship materials each week.

The Finance Committee at Asbury is committed to being good stewards of your gifts from God and updates a Financial Information page each month with details about giving, expenses, and other financial details.
