Acts 2024 Sermon Series

The United Methodist Church, along with Asbury, has navigated considerable challenges over the past few years. It’s often said that the Church should be a sanctuary from drama, not a breeding ground for it. While this is a comforting thought, the reality is that the Church, from its inception during the Jesus movement, has always been a place where humans grapple with complex issues.

Right now in Modern and Traditional Worship, we’re diving into the book of Acts, which chronicles the early days of the Church as it began to live out the teachings of Jesus. We’ll delve into the lives and ministries of pivotal figures like Peter and Paul and seek to understand how their experiences can guide our community today.

Join us as we embark on this journey of faith together, exploring how the early Church navigated its challenges and what lessons we can draw from it for our path forward.

Modern Worship is held in Williams Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Listen to previous sermons on our podcast. Traditional Worship is held in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. The 11:00 service is livestreamed on YouTube or our chat-friendly platform, Church Online.
