Kids Ministry College Internship for Summer 2023

“Imitate God like dearly loved children with Asbury Kids. Live your life with love, following the example of Christ, who loved us and gave himself for us” Ephesians 5:1-2

Asbury Kids Summer Internship program is a partnership with three main purposes. First, and most important, our Summer interns will build healthy, meaningful, and Christ-centered relationships with our students in a way that helps them feel valued and loved. Second, our Summer intern will be expected to help us do Children’s Ministry in a number of different ways: teaching kindergarten through fifth grade students, leading activities, assisting in planning events such as VBS and Summer Nights, and everything else that goes on over the Summer. Third, Asbury’s staff will offer our Summer intern discipleship experiences and opportunities to grow in his/her own personal faith and relationship with the Lord. We want our Summer intern to grow as a leader and to grow deeper in their faith with the Father as they help our students build on the foundation of their faith.

START DATE: May 15, 2023
END DATE: August 6, 2023

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Children’s Minister, the Children’s Ministry Summer Intern builds and assists with weekly programs and special events.

  • – Express a contagious love of Jesus and passion to share it with our students.
  • – Maintain regular and consistent office hours.
  • – Assist in planning and implementing weekly programming and Special Events (i.e. Promotion, VBS, and Summer Nights).
  • – Occasional teaching and leading weekly programs and Special Events.
  • – Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • – Completed 1 full-year of college or university.
  • – Willingness to step outside of your comfort zone and serve in various areas of ministry.
  • – Ability to work well in a team.
  • – Complete 1 full year of college.
  • – Possess the ability to communicate to children and parents effectively.
  • – Meet deadlines.
  • – Be reliable and on-time.
  • – Ability to work across Family Ministry (Youth and Children) and be a great team member.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • – Possess a high degree of organizational skills.
  • – Be highly computer literate.
  • – Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Suite. ProPresenter and Planning Center a plus.
  • – Familiar with current forms of communication and social media relevant to students.
  • – Teachable and Creative.

PAY: $2,500 total

Students Ministry College Internship for Summer 2023

Asbury Reset’s Summer Internship program is a partnership with three main purposes. First, and most important, our Summer interns will build healthy, meaningful, and Christ-centered relationships with our students in a way that helps them feel welcomed, seen, and heard. Second, our Summer interns will be expected to help us do student ministry in a number of different ways: teaching students, leading activities, planning events such as Mission Camp and TRIBES, and everything else that goes on over the Summer. Third, Asbury’s staff will offer our Summer interns discipleship experiences and opportunities to grow in his/her own personal faith and relationship with the Lord. We want our Summer interns to grow as leaders and to grow deeper in intimacy with the Father as they help our students do the same.

START DATE: May 15, 2023
END DATE: August 6, 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:
●Completed 1 full-year of college or university.
● Passion for ministry and sharing Jesus with the next generation. 
● Willingness to step outside of your comfort zone and serve in various areas of ministry. 
● Ability to work well in a team.

EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
●Invest in your relationship with God and live in a way that brings others closer to God as well. Live a life worth following both inside and outside the church.
● Build relationships appropriately with students.
● Support and serve at events as a part of the RESET Staff: VBS, Mission Camp, Tribes, and ALL other RESET events.
● Plan, organize, and lead RESET 945 (Sunday school program).
● Plan, organize, and co-lead Tribes summer program with Staff.
● Organize and help lead 6th grade VBS in conjunction with the Children’s Ministry.

PAY: $2500 total.

HOURS: 40 hours per week.
