Asbury will be serving with TEAMeffort in communities of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This mission trip is Sunday, June 9 – Saturday, June 15, 2024, and is for both middle and high school students. We have 30 student tickets (a.k.a. van seats) available for this year’s mission trip. The cost is $250 which includes all meals, transportation (vans), housing and, of course, a t-shirt. Any parents interested in chaperoning this trip, please contact Laura at laura.provence@asburybham.org.
TEAMeffort’s mission statement is to provide youth group mission trips filled with opportunities to put their faith into action and return home with lifelong memories and a renewed excitement for Jesus Christ. Over the years, youth mission teams and TEAMeffort mission camp staff have formed strong bonds with the people they minister to in the communities scattered throughout the mountains of eastern Tennessee. Our group will be able to minister in these areas through home repair projects such as building wheelchair ramps, decks, painting, landscaping, roofing, etc.
Our students and volunteers worshipped God alongside brothers and sisters in Christ at San Isidro Methodist Church; they worked to build classroom space for a church in Santa Marta; they led a backyard Bible club for children; and they worked on a parsonage for Pastor Luis Miranda and his family. We give God thanks for the connections they made, experiences they had, and for safe travels. Thank YOU for remembering them in your prayers. As always, check out the recaps on Instagram @asburybhamstudents.
