Don’t miss Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 4-6:00 p.m. As always, a sensory-friendly trick-or-treating experience is open to our friends with disabilities from 3:30-4:00 p.m. We’ve also secured four great food trucks: Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Rodney Scott’s Barbecue, Little Donkey, and Kona Ice.
Asbury Family: No other event says “Welcome to Asbury” quite like Trunk or Treat! We’re anticipating 1,500+ guests which calls for 25,000 pieces of candy, 35 trunks, and 25 volunteers. This is the October Mission of the Month – please help us make the ultimate first impression!
Trunks needn’t be elaborate. BUT – we do have prizes for best trunk to help get your creative juices flowing: $200 for first; $150 for second; and $100 for third.
Just for Preteens
Asbury is partnering with several other United Methodist Churches for a Fall Retreat at Camp Sumatanga October 17-18. The cost is $125 and includes all transportation, lodging, activities, meals, materials, and a T-shirt. Registration is now closed.
We Make A Joyful Noise!
Asbury KiDS Joyful Noise Choir (for kindergarten-fifth graders) rehearses each Wednesday Night during our weekly activities. On Sunday, Oct. 19 our choir will be joining the Chancel Choir in Traditional Worship at 11:00 a.m. for a special piece: No Turning Back. (They’re singing the parts the kids sing.) The car is a great place to practice! 
Veterans Day FUN
Kiddos are off school on Tuesday, Nov. 11 (Veteran’s Day). Seems like the perfect day to have SLIME LAB! Register second through fifth graders today!
