Vacation Bible School
people who follow Jesus have a lot to celebrate!
Jesus gives us some pretty good reasons to party. Friendship, belonging, forgiveness, abundant life, and purpose. That’s why we believe the Gospel of Jesus is the good news.
Rising kindergarten through sixth graders are invited to VBS from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 24-27. The total cost is $5 (which includes a T-shirt, snack and all craft supplies).
Rising seventh-twelfth grade students are invited to mentor kids and help facilitate this amazing event. Plus, adults who volunteer get exclusive access to VBS for kids 0-5!
SUMMER CAMPS
Asbury has nine day camps: Basketball, Creative Art, Chess, Indoor Lacrosse, Princess, Soccer, Science, STEM, and Manners Matter. These morning and afternoon camps can stand alone or be combined to create a whole-day experience. Most are designed for rising second through sixth graders.
More Summer Options
Camp Sumatanga feels like home to Asbury Kids Associate Director Melanie Stewart. This summer, join Melanie at Sumatanga July 7-12 for Elementary Camp II. It’s designed to inspire campers on their faith journeys while they do all the summer musts: swimming, hiking, canoeing, and more!
Asbury’s Conservatory of Performing Arts introduces children, teens and adults to a variety of musical interests, including voice and piano. Instill a love of music. Hone a skill. Try something new!
American Red Cross babysitting training can help students gain the skills they need to become a safe, reliable babysitter. During training, students also earn First Aid and CPR/AED certifications (good for two years), which can help them learn how to provide care during an emergency.
This certification is available for 11-15 year-olds at Asbury this summer: June 6 & 7 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m
Moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas: Beat the heat and let rising K5-sixth graders play in Asbury’s gym, July 8, 15, or 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parents/guardians are required to stay and supervise children. Bring your own toys and lunch.
