United Methodist Women

Esther, Martha & Naomi Circles

Who are the United Methodist Women?

The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Asbury has three UMW circles: Esther, Naomi, and Martha.

This circle meets every third Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Room 120/121. Email circle leader Jane Woosley.

This circle meets every first Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Room 132/134. Email circle leaders Linda McClellan or Glenda Rogers.

Martha Circle, a United Methodist Women's Circle

This circle meets every second Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Room 132/134. Email circle leader June Griffin.

All three United Methodist Women circles meet for hands-on mission work at 10:00 a.m. in Room 120/121 on the second Monday of every month.

Naomi Circle sponsored a new girl’s home at Children’s Village and provided new swings at the playground and a pavilion. The circle also bakes desserts for Anchor Community Respite Ministry on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
