Milestone 4: Confirmation

We believe that confirmation is a significant step in the journey of faith. Middle-school students are invited to claim for themselves the names, “Christian” and “United Methodist.” This is also a time when youth begin to need the larger community of faith even more. The Confirmation Milestone is designed to help parents navigate the teenage years.

How Students Are Celebrated:

Confirmation is a year long journey that begins with a Covenant Service in August. Confirmands meet weekly during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday school hour. During these classes, students are encouraged to examine their own thoughts on faith and God as a young adult. On Confirmation Sunday, in May, they have the opportunity to be confirmed in their faith and become full members of the church. To enroll your child in the program, visit our confirmation page.
