Get involved with our Back-to-School Mission of the Month is by attending our Prayer Breakfast sponsored by The United Methodist Women on Friday, August 18 at 9:00 a.m. We will be collecting supplies for our friends at Urban Ministry.
Join us on Saturday, August 19 from 3-6:00 p.m. at WE Garden for our Second Annual Urban Ministry Block Party (1229 Cotton Avenue SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). We are thrilled for this community event. We’ve got bounce houses, hamburgers and hot dogs, games, and snow cones! Please join us!

Urban Ministry is a faith-based nonprofit focused on working with the residents of West End to build a thriving community. As an urban mission of the United Methodist Church, they work closely with sister organization, Community Church Without Walls, to extend compassion and opportunities for wholeness to everyone in the West End community. They do this by listening to the community, engaging their gifts and strengths, and building programs that affirm their dignity as children of God.
