Truly more than a sale

Missions

Serving others is at the heart of Asbury Giggles & Grace. Below are some of the ways that we serve our community during each and every sale. If you have any questions about these missions, please do not call the church office. Instead, email missions@asburygigglesandgrace.com with any questions.

Shopping Assistance

Are you or is someone you know in need of financial assistance? We offer shopping coupons for those who need help providing for their children.  The application window for missions coupons for the Spring 2026 sale is January 1-31. If you are approved, you will receive an email from missions@asburygigglesandgrace.com by Monday the week of the sale (Feb. 23). Si es aprobado, recibirá un correo electrónico de missions@asburygigglesandgrace.com el lunes de la semana de la venta (23 de febrero).

Charity Donations

What happens to the items that don’t sell? Consignors have the option of donating their unsold items to charities serving Shelby County and Birmingham areas. At the end of each sale, we sort the unsold items that were donated and distribute them to local charities such as Oak Mountain Missions, Grace Klein, Garrett’s Place, Trinity UMC Foster Closet, America’s Thrift/Make-A-Wish Alabama, Sozo Children, and more!

Asbury's Food Pantry

Each sale we collect canned goods/non-perishable items for Asbury’s Food Pantry. For quicker check-out (and to help our community!), follow these steps:

• Bring 25 non-expired, non-perishable food items to the sale.
• Show them to the volunteer at the door for counting and verification.
• Get your express lane pass from the volunteer at the door.
• When you’re ready to check out, go to the NEW express lane to the right of the check-out door. Do NOT go to the regular check-out line.
• Wait your turn. (There may be a line, but it’s a shorter line!)
• Give your express lane pass to the volunteer counting your items.

By the Numbers 2024

200+ bags of unsold items were donated to charities like Oak Mountain Missions, Grace Klein Community, Garrett’s Place, Trinity UMC Foster Closet, America’s Thrift/Make-A-Wish Alabama, Sozo Chilren, and more.

Inside those donated bags were 9,675+ items valued at more than $58,300.

203 families received shopping coupons that provided clothes and essentials totaling more than $20,000.
