Sermon Series Deep Dive

Hunger is more than the ache in our stomach—it’s the yearning of our souls. Join Rev. Michael Bowman for a Wednesday night study exploring the ways God meets us in our deepest longings. Now through April 1 at 6:15 p.m. in Room 144.

Dementia-Friendly Easter Service

Tuesday, March 31, 1-2:30 PM, Sanctuary

Is a loved one suffering from memory loss? Families are invited to celebrate the joy of Easter in a casual service with Holy Communion, an interactive homily, and familiar hymns.

Palm Sunday

Sunday, March 29 - 8:30 and 11:00 am (Traditional) 11:00 am (Modern)

Holy Week begins. We celebrate Jesus’ ride into Jerusalem on the back of a simple donkey but prepare for the suffering that is to come. There is no triumph without suffering, no crown without a cross.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 2 - Noon & 7:00 PM Services

On the night before his death, Jesus and the disciples gathered in the Upper Room for their last meal. We remember this night with prayer, worship, and Holy Communion. The noonday service will be held in the sanctuary; the 7:00 p.m. service will be held in Williams Chapel.

Good Friday

Friday, April 3 - 7:00 pm (Traditional with live-stream)

Come. Pause to consider the sufferings, death and burial of our Lord, and then go into the world knowing the resurrection awaits. Worship will be held in the sanctuary.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 5
6:30 am sunrise (prayer mountain); 8:30 & 11:00 am (Traditional)*; 11:00 am (Modern)*

Christ is Risen. Hallelujah! Celebrate with us on this festival day!

The Sunrise Service will be held on Prayer Mountain behind Asbury’s campus; Traditional Worship is held in the sanctuary; Modern Worship is held in Williams Chapel.

*These services will be live-streamed on YouTube @asburybham.

Easter Sunday Family Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 5, 9:45-10:45 AM (Gym & Outside)

We ❤️ families. And Easter! Please join us for an egg hunt during our Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 a.m.). We’ll gather in the gym, enjoy light refreshments, do fun crafts, and the hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Children will hunt in designated areas of the church based on their age group – and parents, we need you to stay with your child. If you have children in multiple age groups, we suggest hunting as a family in the area designated for your oldest child.

Easter Sunday Serve Opportunity

The day we celebrate Jesus’ unconditional love for every single one of us, you’re invited to celebrate in a different way. Asbury will be going to Church of the Reconciler to feed our unhoused neighbors Easter lunch. You can help in one of two ways: One, if you already have family coming, double the sides or desserts you’re making for your holiday gathering and bring the dishes to Asbury on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The other option is to join Missions Coordinator Brooke Wolde for Easter Worship at Church of the Reconciler downtown at 9:30 a.m. and then help serve lunch to 65 guests afterwards.

EASTER FLOWERS

Honor or celebrate the life of a loved one with white flowers.

Asbury’s Flower Guild uses an assortment of white plants to decorate the campus for Easter but they are yours to take home after 11:00 a.m. worship on Easter (April 5). The plants are $25 and a listing of all memorial plants purchased will be inserted into the bulletin on Easter Sunday. The deadline to order flowers is Sunday, March 30.
