What Is Costa Rica Mission Projects (CRMP)?

CRMP, founded and led by Wil and Yolanda Bailey, is a support ministry for the Evangelical Methodist Church of Costa Rica. Guided by Jesus’ example of servant leadership, CRMP has coordinated building projects and Vacation Bible Schools since 2003, primarily in southern Costa Rica. In 2016, they built their Missions and Ministry Center, which also houses a daycare for low-income families and a residence for rural students pursuing higher education in San Isidro. In 2021, they expanded their outreach by opening a counseling center to walk alongside people in difficult times.

When we think of short-term missions, our minds go to the work we do to help others. But the reality is, serving is about relationships. It’s not a task to perform. When we change our mindset that mission trips are about relationships, then God can work in a powerful way.

2025 Intergenerational Trip

This year, 16 team members served alongside our mission partners at Costa Rican Mission Projects or CRMP, helping restore a Methodist youth camp that will reach and inspire young people. On Sunday, May 25, the team will worship and lead Sunday school for children at the church in Santa Marta. This is the same congregation where Asbury — along with other Methodist churches in North Alabama — helped fund the completion of a parsonage and educational space we helped build! Our very own Robyn White also met with Yolonda and Pricilla, leaders from CRMP’s counseling center to explore future opportunities for ministry partnership.
