Music

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

MAKE MUSIC WITH US!

Asbury’s Music Conservatory of Performing Arts introduces children, teens, and adults to a variety of musical interests, including voice and piano. Instill a love of music. Hone a skill. Try something new.

Asbury is proud to host the Birmingham Boys Choir for rehearsals and performances. Interested in singing with BBC? Boys in grades 3 through 12 from all across the Birmingham area can audition.

Love to sing? There’s no better time to try the choir – the musicians are about to begin work on Christmas music! Get acquainted during rehearsal on Sept. 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. or attend the Christmas retreat/potluck breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Sept. 20. The Christmas Cantata is Sunday, Dec. 14 during 8:30 & 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship.

Traditional Worship

Traditional Worship is led by music from the chancel choir. Volunteers rehearse on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in Room 143. Singers of all experience levels are welcome! Interested? Email Music Director Nancy Beard.

Asbury also has a handbell choir and orchestra that perform in Traditional Worship. The handbell choir  rehearses Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in Room 141. The orchestra (led by Justin Ward) rehearses Sundays after 11:00 a.m. worship.

Modern Worship

Asbury’s Modern Worship is led by a Worship Team featuring guitar, vocals, keys and drums. Rehearsals are held Sundays at 8:30 a.m. before 11:00 a.m. worship. Interested? Email Modern Worship Director Jeremiah Toole. Listen to more worship moments on the Modern Worship YouTube Channel.
