Parent Support Group

Comfort and build each other up.

"For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken," says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

–Isaiah 54:10

What happens when your child is struggling or maybe even hospitalized with a mental health issue? It can feel lonely and frightening, but it’s a situation that many in our community find themselves in.

Asbury Family Ministry, in partnership with Kim Bailey, M. Ed., ALC, offers a support group for parents with adolescents living with mental health challenges. The group meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Ministry wing.

“If you are ready to find hope in difficult circumstances, to be empowered to move forward, and to offer yourself grace amidst challenges, I believe you can attain peace by committing to healing and acknowledging your own innate abilities to overcome.”
